FSCO Announces Elimination of the DAC System effective Mar. 1, 2006
The Ontario Government, through the Financial Services
Commission of Ontario (FSCO) has announced that the elimination of the DAC
system will be effective March 1, 2005.
As outlined in the Brain Injury Association of London seminar
that Legate & Associates provided to health care practitioners on September 28, 2005, the DACs will be replaced by
broader insurer’s examinations and dispute insurer examinations regulations.
The new amendments also broaden the unfair and deceptive practices
